Hi world, quick vibe check from the girlz! When we said “bring back third spaces” we did not mean outer space! Seems like celebrities & billionaires missed that memo. Between the infamous Katy Perry Blue Origin flight and the whole “let’s go visit the bottom of the ocean” fiasco… wealth is not whispering. It’s actually lighting billions of dollars on fire in the name of some fun and funky tourism, and everyone is screaming.

Also on this week’s edition of dystopian events are the new normal… Influencers have taken over Coachella while normies use Afterpay to finance their tickets, student loan payments are so back, and our current administration is enticing women to crank out babies for… a medal? Sorry babes, the whole “you get a participation prize!” culture kinda spoiled those for me. What else ya got?

While we chit-chat about recession indicators (if you don’t laugh, you cry), the wealth gap has never been more apparent. Yet, it seems like the solution is to fake it till you make it. Instead of opting out of little luxuries like concert tickets or Chipotle burritos, we’re simply financing them with Afterpay and Klarna. Welcome to the debt economy! You can watch a college student eat caviar for breakfast while you daydream about monetizing your life to be able to afford it. What a treat! If you need us, we’ll be streaming Firework by Katy Perry (this is not an endorsement, we’re just chasing a vibe), reminiscing about the days when we still believed we’d buy a house someday.
