Do you love your work?
Yes, I feel very lucky to have my dream career.
Do you think you should love your work?
My first my boss said I should enjoy about 80% of my work to make of for the 20% that just stinks. I try to maintain that balance (most days).
What is your work-life balance like?
Much better than it used to be! I think as I’ve gotten older, the more I realize I need quiet weekends to renew and refresh.
What is one thing you had to learn the hard way?
That your mental health should be number one. I was so burnt out a few years ago, I could barely get out of bed.
What is something you wish you'd known early in your career?
That no job is worth compromising your morals and beliefs. And that no man is worth minimizing your career for.
What is one piece of advice every woman needs to hear?
Be your whole self, eat the pasta, learn to forgive, and trust your gut.
What's one thing you're struggling with? (at work or otherwise)
Work: a coworker who is nice to my face but I know will stab me in the back. Personal: dating again. I have a crush on someone but am trying to get the nerve up to ask him out.
What's one thing bringing you joy? (at work or otherwise)
Work: the amazing CEOs I get to partner with on making their company’s a success.
Personal: the new life I’ve created and rediscovering who I am that I lost during my marriage.
